Like the weird hero he so desperately wants to be, Nicolas Cage attempted to tranquilize Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil after Neil attacked a woman asking for an autograph.

Apparently, once the woman approached Nic for the autograph, Neil grabbed the woman's hair and yanked her to the ground. Neil was released at the scene once police arrived.

The whole encounter is just outrageous. They look like two drunk, recently divorced men hugging each other for support.

"Hush, child — mama's got you."

If this is somehow a stunt, it's the best acting Nic has done in years.
