Japenese artist, Kumi Yamashita, is an artist from New York City who has found that shining lines on different objects can create unfathomable art. Wait until you see!
This artist carefully places what appears to be a random display of letter blocks on a surface

She then shines a light on them at the perfect angle to turn their combined shadows into silhouettes of people!

It seem random, yet every piece plays an important part

Altogether, they produce uncanny results.

The closer you look...

...the more you see that each individual piece is crucial to the finished product.

Even with sheets of paper, the artist is able to crease them in such a way that they also cast shadowy faces

It's remarkable how the artist uses a single source of light to create these breathtaking silhouettes

She reveals characters behind inanimate objects

Her work is hardly believable...

But it's true...

...perspective is key.
