1. Sloth Sanctuary - Costa Rica 

The Sloth Sanctuary first open in 1992 and was created to educate the public about how to properly care for these unique animals. You could probably learn a thing or two about relaxation from the slow-moving creatures.

Betty Leslie-Melville purchased the property that is now the Giraffe Manor back in 1974. She partnered with the Giraffe Centre to help to rehabilitate the Rothschild breed of giraffes. The property became a hotel in 1983 and visitors can see about 12 giraffe roaming the area.

The Galapagos Islands can be found off the coast of Ecuador.You can have up close encounters like adorable baby sea lions are huge Galapagos turtles. 

7. Cat Island - Tashirojima, Japan 

There are 11 islands in Japan that highly populated by cats. Plan a trip to Aoshima where cats outnumber the number of elderly people on the island or visit Tashirojima which is known as "Cat Heaven Island."
