IKEA is the furniture store phenomenon that sells items at a seemingly reduced rate. Building the furniture can become quickly confusing if you have a hard time following directions, especially those written in Swedish. But if you can somehow navigate your way through all of that, you will have yourself some nifty new furniture. If you're Eric Strong, on the other hand, you can hack the directions for something much more.

Meet Strong, a dad who is dare I say it, strong-willed and ready to create the ultimate bedroom for his kid. You can find some really neat furniture at IKEA for kids, but he's got a better idea: combine a few different pieces into one.

His plan involves the Kura (a lofted bed), the Trofast (steps that usually go on the side of a Kura) and the Besta (which is a bookshelf). By combining these three items he plans to make the ultimate bed/fort for his kid.

Here's the brilliant creation he came up with. He turned the Tofast into a slide coming down from the bed, and replaced the opening underneath the bed with the Besta (bookshelf). You might be wondering why he closed off that opening, right?

Because, now it's a secret passage to a hideout! What kid wouldn't dream of having a trap door to their own world? It's safe to assume the answer is none! Every kid dreams of having access to their very own fort–one they can slide right into.
