Here's The Most Common Reason People Unfriend You, According To Science
Facebook is seemingly an endless void that everybody in the world goes to dump their thoughts into an unregulated outlet. We've all got those friends on Facebook that just can't help but share their every move. Some people just don't know how to hold it in, and for that reason, these friends are more and more finding themselves becoming "unfriended" by their friends.Maybe you're one of those people. If so, what the hell are you doing to drive everybody crazy to the point of "unfriending" you?
In all, the studies all came down to essentially the same conclusion: just don't be an annoying bigot online. You wouldn't bring up a radical religious or political belief at a dinner party with friends and expect them to invite you back out with them again, would you? If so, you're more of an annoying bigot than suspected. But, if you have any manners at all, you wouldn't do such a thing, so that's why you shouldn't be doing that on Facebook either.

Okay, so specifically speaking, researchers Nicholas John from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Shira Dvir-Gvirsman from Tel Aviv University conducted a survey online just 10 days after the Israel-Gaza conflict’s open-ended ceasefire. Of those who responded, 50% admitted to being more active during this time, and "unfriending" or "unfollowing" friends during this time.
Why? Bombastic political posts. Nobody wants to read that stuff, unless from a legitimate news source.

Two more studies found that people who get the chop most often are either high school friends people have lost touch with or work friends. The real life happenings of work friends that may seem inappropriate and therefore not something a person would want to be associated with.
People were found to be surprised, bothered, amused and sad when they have found to have been "unfriended." Has this happened to you recently? Maybe you're an annoying work friend, or too politically/religiously focused.

So, stop being an annoying bigot and just share pleasant statuses or photos for friends that are curious what you've been up to. If you really want to speak your mind about some of these radical issues society faces, start a blog and write your thoughts there. If people want to read them, they can visit it, instead of having you shove your thoughts down their throats. There's a thought (being shoved down your throat) from a self-proclaimed non-bigot. Take it or leave. Or, "dislike" this article.
