You've Probably Seen The Grinch But Never Noticed This Key Element About the Whos

Despite what you think, it may shock you to hear, the Grinch wasn't the only Who who was bad that year.

You remember "The Grinch" starring Jim Carrey, right? Duh, of course you do. We've all seen it.

And if you haven't, something's wrong with you.

The movie tells the classic Dr. Suess story of how the Grinch tries to do everything he can to keep the Whos of Whoville from celebrating Christmas.

And as those who have seen the movie know, they added in a few flashbacks from the Grinch's childhood for context.

In one of the flashbacks, we learn that Baby Grinch arrives in Whoville by way of a floating basket, er whatever.

And to be honest, he's kind of creepy-as-shit-looking. But that's beside the point.

After landing just outside a Who house, we see Baby Grinch gaze inside, as a group of Whos enjoy their "annual holiday get-together."

At least that's what they call it...

And as the camera zooms closer we see a curious bowl of keys.

Wait...what? Are these Whos all getting rip-roaring Whodrunk? If they are, at least they're being responsible about it.

Immediately, we see that Baby Grinch is not happy about this. But it's not the drinking that he's upset about...

It's because he knows something...he knows what's going on here.

What's going on, you ask? A "Key Party." That's what.

Nice, Ron Howard...real nice. Just slip some debauchery reference in there for the kids.

You know these upright, well-intentioned Whos? Yeah, well actually they're a bunch of licentious, lust-loving swingers.

LUST LOVING SWINGERS! YOU HEAR ME???
