The wonderful minds at WatchCut Video with the help of Reviews.com got together a group of kids to try various candies that the world (outside of the United States) has to offer. As you can imagine, initially most kids were baffled by their taste buds (in a bad way), but a few of the treats brought a smile to these youngsters' faces.
What follows is a sneak peak at their scrunched faces, disgusted looks and utter confusion as they navigate different culture's candies.
Just to note: you're going to see more of this than anything else...
First up is the 'Salsagheti' from Mexico...
And as you can see, this boy feels betrayed by what's been described as candy to him:
Next up is the 'Guava Balls' from the Philippines and the kids are not happy about this offering...
She looks as if she's just bitten into the worst thing in the world, and unsure as to what her next move should be...
On the other hand, this little guy knows exactly what he needs to do: spit that stuff out immediately.
The 'Scorched Rice Candy' from South Korea gets finnaly gets a few positive reactions, but not before the inevitable negatives...
Again, this girl just looks so sad about what's she's just bitten into...
"Tastes like rice with poop on it!"
"It's goooooooooood!"
Finally, a kid with a more refined palette than others.
As you can imagine, these 'Salty Black Licorice' candies from Finland make our little blonde friend quite unhappy once again...
This poor girl...
Don't just take our word for it. Hear what these kids have to say about all the different candies from around the world they get to try, here:
And remember, the results are all over the board. Thankfully, only one poop-esque flavor reference was made.
If this video teaches us anything, it's that even the most hard-headed people can have their opinion swayed...
Because, even Liam who hated every single candy he tried, was absolutely blown away by the Mr. Fizzy Candy from Finland.
Anybody can find joy in something, if you just give them the chance. Maybe this video was meant to give that deep of a lesson, but hey, we'd like to think so.
