Chocolate, Peanut Butter, And Beef? That's The Idea Behind This Reese's Burger

by N/A, 10 years ago | 5 min read

As if eating large quantities of red meat wasn't slowly killing burger lovers at large, a new creation from the minds (read: mouths) at The WORKS, a Gourmet Burger Bistro, has set out to clog any functional arteries you may have had left.

Burgers are delicious, yes. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are delicious as well. But, together?! Let's just say you should get ready to get Stuff'D if you plan on eating it.

So what does this beautiful monstrosity look like, you may be wondering? Take a gander for yourself:

It was created in honor of National Nut Day in Canada (BTW, peanuts aren't even nuts, so this doesn't count!), and as a last minute promotional timed perfectly with Halloween (because of the candy).

This Frankenstein-like culinary creation known as the "PBC" is literally stuffed with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...

But, that gooeyness is not all (as you can see, but we'll explain).

It's also topped with crispy onion strings, two strips of smoked bacon and you guessed it: more Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...

This looks good(?) We're not really sure at this point how we feel about it. But, it's gained massive attention from all over the media.

Just look at all the outlets that have already taken wind of this burger that'll knock the wind out of you if you're not careful...

But, it's gotten even more exposure than that.

Seth Meyers even worked it into one of his bits on late night television...

That's some major PR backing. Although if you dissect this joke it seems that maybe what Meyers is saying is that if you could eat one burger before you die, it would be this one, because this one will kill you if you eat it.

Maybe?! It's specula

The question still remains: is this thing even any good? One Twitter user summed up what you've probably been think while reading this, and what other brave souls who've tried it have realized...

Exactly. It's both good and gross. Does one outweigh the other? You'll have to try for yourself to know for sure, but we do know you'll outweigh yourself (you'll get fat) if you aim to find out.

We'll leave you with a little piece of what The WORKS calls "good advice" but in the end seems contradictory to what they're selling us...
Really, The WORKS?! Safe burger? You just served up a burger not only filled but topped with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. That's not safe in our books, or in science's, we'd imagine.
