This Super Mario Bros. Fan Proposed To His Girlfriend In An Adorably Unique Way

In June, Austin Piech proposed to his girlfriend in an unusual way.
This is Austin and his fiancee, Lauren Woodrick.
Austin works in marketing, and Lauren codes for a living. Austin's been known to undertake side projects, though nothing quite like what he would create to pop the question to Lauren.
The proposal was equally as clever as it was unusual. Austin created a Super Mario Bros.-esque video game that detailed, level by level, every stage of his relationship with Lauren.
The game is called "Lolo's Bizarre Adventure." What a beautiful way to level up the relationship.
Level one tells the story of how the two met–at a beer festival called "Bockfest" in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cuteness + nostalgia = precious overload.
The second level recalls their first date at a pizza restaurant.
Hopefully the level is only loosely based on actual events.Â
Level three: a reenactment of Lauren's first time visiting Austin's family in Indiana. Some might consider this the most terrifying stage of the game (or life).
Is this what Indiana looks like?
Level four: a depiction of the couple's trip to Portland, Oregon. Note the aquatic environment, complete with seaweed and a cute alligator. Or is it a crocodile? I'm sure Austin knows.
This level features the song "Feel It All Around" by Washed Out, which is the opening music to the TV show Portlandia. Apropos, Austin. Apropos.
Right before the last level, Lauren, or "Lolo," returns home.
With stars in her eyes, of course.
In the last level, a video game version of Austin appears. Boss battle, anyone? Just kidding. It's of course just as cute as you'd imagine it would be.
Lolo walks across the level accompanied by the same music that provided ambience when Austin's Grandfather proposed to his wife back in the day.
And, finally, this screen appears. Adorable.
At this point in the game, Austin took out the ring. The rest is history.
CUTE RECEPTORS OVERLOADING. TOO MUCH LOVE.
