10 Signs That You Might Be Overestimating Your Bowling Skills

"This isn't a sport. If it were I'd be good at it. Badminton is more of a sport than this."
1. Trying to figure out which is "proper technique": one or two hands.

"I've seen pros do both. I honestly think it's just personal preference."
2. And then realizing it doesn't matter because you don't have a damn clue what you're doing.

But at least you finally put some spin on it.
3. Being more excited about finding the perfect ball than bowling itself.

Finally! A 9-pounder with big finger holes!
4. Having way too much confidence simply because "you're athletic."

5. And then quickly realizing that not only does bowling have very little to do with athleticism, but that you have much less of it than you thought you did.

"This isn't even a real sport. I'm good at sports. If it were a sport I'd be good at it damn it."
6. Having trouble with ball control after demolishing that pepperoni pizza is always a problem.

7. And when you finally do get a strike, or a spare...or just hit a respectable number of pins, your celebration is, well, maybe just a bit too much.

8. And then, embarrassingly, you'll go right back to sucking.

"Alright, I'm gonna start taking this seriously. Like actually seriously."
9. When you finally tell yourself you're gonna "try your best," even though you know you already have been, you still look like a goober.

10. And of course, it wouldn't be an ordinary night of bowling if you didn't lose your shit when your brother's girlfriend gets a strike rolling the ball at 2.5 mph.

"MARK IT ZERO!"
