The floats in the parade are made of flowers and the theme for each float is Vincent Van Gogh.

19 teams entered floats into the parade.Â
Van Gogh was born in Zundert 162 years ago.

Dahlia flowers are used to decorate the floats and the area is known as a global supplier of these flowers.

Many of the float's in the this year's parade were interpretations of Van Gogh's self portraits of pulled from recurring colors and themes in his work.

The parade began in 1936 and many of the floats were pulled by horse carts or bicycles.
