Officer Byrd is actually really great at doing impressions. He once impersonated Judge Judy and was caught in the act.

As ridiculous as they may seem, the cases shown on Judge Judy are 100% real. The production company researchers find small claims cases and does research on the issue at hand. They contact the litigants and offer them an $850 appearance fee and a free trip to LA in exchange for them forgoing their civil court hearing.
