When organizers for the "All You Can Paint" art festival approached talented Argentinian street artist Marina Zumi, telling her participation in the contest was down 60% percent from the previous year, and that they were in desperate need of her ability, she was more than happy to oblige.
With a bland, tired apartment building as her canvas, excited to leave her mark, Marina got to work. A 12 days of fervent and tireless painting later, the artist transformed the building from ruefully tired, to beautifully inspired.
At first, Zumi didn't have a clue what she would paint.

After incidentally stumbling across a book about bees, she had her inspiration.

And slowly but surely, the talented street artist brought her idea to life...

With the help of lots and LOTS of spray-paint. And this was only one day's load.

Zumi wanted the building to be technicolored and vibrant to represent the diverse and lively personalities of the people that lived there.

Like her "coffee bee," Christina, who who give her coffee every morning on her forklift while she worked.

Aside from it serving as metaphorically representative of the representatives, the color spectrum of colors blended perfectly with the besetting orange and green buildings.

In kind with the rest of her work's significance, Zumi would paint "The Honeycomb" to have 11 bees, which represent the 11 wonderful A.Y.C.P. committee members she got to know prior to the project.

If that doesn't make you happy with selecting her to paint the building, I don't know what would.

One of the members, Karl, who served as her assistant, and his bee.

12 days later, Zumi had completed her colorful masterpiece...

And officially transformed the entire block!
