This Seattle Arist's Work Only Appears When It Rains...Which Is Often in Seattle

by N/A, 10 years ago | 1 min read

As many know, Seattle doesn't have the most outstanding weather in the world. In fact, it sucks. More often than not, it's rainy and miserable, resulting in some pretty disgruntled attitudes among its citizens, understandably so. And while many have grown accustomed to it, it doesn't take away from how disheartening it can be.

In a brilliant effort to combat the elements and give Seattle citizens something to be cheery about on days like these, street artist artist, Peregrine Church, scattered a series of jovial, hydrophobic works he calls, "Rainworks," around the city that are only visible when activated by water. So when it's rainy and dreadful and city-goers are getting poured on during their morning commutes, they'll have something awesome to look forward to.
