These 10 European Landscapes Are So Surreal That It's Hard to Believe They Exist

Inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairytales, photographer Kilian Schönberger set out on a trip through Central Europe to capture images of nature that were reminiscent of the mood and whimsical persona of the famous tales.

He wanted to show the beautiful tranquility of these serene landscapes and their reminiscence of the beauty in those famous fairytale stories we've all know and love so well. In Schönberger's eloquent words, the landscapes are, "a resting place for the eyes in a visually overstimulated world."
