1. Irukandji Jellyfish

These jellyfish are only .2 inches long. You'll never see it coming, but its sting can actually kill you. It carries a toxin that is 100 times strong than cobra venom.  

2. Moon Jellyfish

The sting of a moon jellyfish is actually very mild, however they are the most abundant jellyfish in the world and many stings could really hurt you.

3. Cannonball Jellyfish

Cannonball jellies are pretty common and have painful stings that don't cause any last damage.

4. Lion's Mane Jellyfish

Lion's mane are the biggest jellyfish in the world. Their tentacles can grow to become more than 100 feet long.

5. Portuguese Man o' War

The Man 'o War is actually called a bluebottle and not a jellyfish. Interestingly, they are also a colony of organisms that work together to form the Man 'o War. It's sting could cause your heart or lungs to stop working. 

6. Sea Nettle

Sea Nettles can be found off the east coast of the U.S. They can have up to 24 tentacles which can grow up to 6 feet long. They also have extremely painful stings 

7. Box Jellyfish

The box jelly is the world's most dangerous jellyfish in the world. They've caused 6,000 deaths in the last 50 years. Its 15 tentacles contain 500,000 microscopic poison darts. Each dart can kill 60 people within about 3 seconds.
