These people weren't DJs or sound mixers sort of like their title suggests, but people who could help track the origin of the gunfire of enemies.

Pigeons helped deliver messages during the war (with an absolutely outrageous 90% success rate) but needed someone to watch over them.

Quartz wafers were necessary as oscillators in radio transmission, and these people crafted them.

America needed bands to play at events and help recruit war support, and actually created an Army Music School to teach people how to play the music they needed.
